I spent the year from August 1st, 2014 until July 31st, 2015 focusing on the kata Gojushiho. One of the avenues I took to study the kata was to look at of traditions variations of the kata. This helped immensely to process the techniques found in our Matsubayashi version. I also applied the kata to the weapon I currently study to gain possible contribution. I have created a video that presents these different variations on Gojushiho. I present them not as a sign of my competency in them, but for the purpose of comparison.

The variations are:

  1. Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu Gojushiho
  2. Matsumura Seito Gojushiho
  3. Shotokan Gojushiho Sho
  4. Shotokan Gojushiho Dai
  5. Seirenkai Gojushiho
  6. Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu Gojushiho
  7. Shito-Ryu Gojushiho
  8. Bushi No Te Gojushiho
  9. Jyoshinmon Gojushiho
  10. Gojushiho Ni
  11. Tang Soo Do O Sip Sa Bo
